Maine

The 23rd state in the USA, admitted on March 15, 1820.

Americans who live in Eastport, Maine, are the first to catch the rays of the morning sun, because it is the most eastern city in the United States. Until 1820 Maine was an exclave of Massachusetts, but eventually became a state under the Missouri Compromise when the population got big enough. Maine is known mostly for being the "Pine Tree State" and for its rugged cold climate. As if being America's number one supplier for lobster weren't enough, Maine is also the nations leading producer of blueberries, producing 99% of all blueberries in the country. So if you enjoy low rolling mountains, a rocky coastline, dense forests, and seafood, then Maine is the place to be.
