Kentucky

The 15th state in the USA, admitted on June 1, 1792.

Kentucky is ranked as the 37th largest state in size with the population ranking as 26th in the United States. It is well known for the Kentucky Derby and is home to some of the finest race horses. It also produces corn, soybeans, wheat, fruit, and dairy products. Visit the Louisvlle Slugger Museum to see the world's largest baseball bat and glove. Also located in Louisville is the Kentucky Fried Chicken corporation. There are also many state parks and lakes to visit. As in many states, the summer days can be hot and humid and the winter gets cold with some snowfall. The summer and spring get the most rainfall although rain is common all year round.
